The Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Chongqing, in coordination with relevant authorities in Chongqing Municipality and Sichuan Province, organized the business networking and business matching meetings for a delegation of Myanmar businesspersons led by U Aung Zeya, Chairman of the Naypyitaw Chambers of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), from 23 to 24 September 2026.
The meetings were organized with the aim of promoting and strengthening Business-to-Business (B2B) cooperation between Myanmar and business communities in Chongqing Municipality and Sichuan Province, as well as facilitating business connections, trade opportunities and potential partnerships between the two sides.
On 23 September 2026, the Consulate General, in collaboration with the Jiulongpo District Government of Chongqing Municipality, organized a business networking and matching meeting between NCCI and representatives of the business community in Jiulongpo District at the district government office.
On 24 September 2026, the Consulate General, also collaborated with the to organize a business networking meeting between NCCI and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Sichuan Sub-council (CCPIT-Sichuan), business representatives from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, at the meeting hall of CCPIT-Sichuan
The meetings were attended by U Kyaw Zay Yar Lin, Consul General of Myanmar in Chongqing, together with Mr. Li Yunbo, Vice Chairman of CCPIT-Sichuan; Ms. Lei Xuejie, Director of the International Relations Department of CCPIT-Sichuan; Mr. Guo Qi, Deputy District Head of Jiulongpo District Government, relevant officials, members of the Myanmar business delegation led by NCCI Chairman U Aung Zeya, and business and trade representatives from Chengdu and Chongqing.
