Three Myanmar nationals who encountered difficulties while working in Baghdad, Iraq, arrived back at the Yangon International Airport via MAI airline at 08:05 PM on 7 May 2026.
Following requests for assistance made by those Myanmar nationals to the Myanmar Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, the Embassy coordinated with relevant authorities and IOM o rganization in Iraq, to negotiate and facilitate their rescue and ensure their safe return to Myanmar.
Upon their arrival at Yangon International Airport, officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Immigration and Population, and respective personnel welcomed them and provided necessary assistance.
