H.E. U Zaw Oo, Ambassador of Myanmar to India, attended the event for the launch of Website and Logo of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit 2026, held under the theme “Save Big Cats, Save Humanity, Save Ecosystem,” at Indira Paryavaran Bhavan, New Delhi, on 6 May 2026 at 1700 hrs at the invitation of H.E. Shri Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India.
At the ceremony, the Union Minister formally inaugurated the Website and Logo of the first International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit 2026 by pressing the launch button and delivered remarks on the significance of convening the Summit. The event was attended by Ambassadors and senior diplomats from IBCA member countries based in New Delhi, senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India, as well as invited guests.
The International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) is a global initiative established at the proposal of India to ensure the long-term conservation of the world’s seven big cat species. India will host the first IBCA Summit from 1 to 3 June 2026 as the host country. Myanmar is a member of IBCA, and India has invited representatives from 95 countries, including 25 member states and 3 observer countries, to participate in the Summit.
