ASEAN Film Festival 2025 organized by the Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation is being held from 7 to 31 August 2025 in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR). At the festival, 24 films from ASEAN member states and four Belt and Road countries: Egypt, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Turkey are being screened at different venues. The Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Hong Kong SAR has been participating in the ASEAN Film Festival 2025 and the Myanmar Movie “If My Lover Were A Flower” was screened at 1500 hrs on 17 August 2025 at Emperor Cinemas (Entertainment Building), Central, Hong Kong. Officials from the Consulate General of Myanmar in Hong Kong SAR and Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation, representatives from ASEAN Consulates General in the Hong Kong SAR, Myanmar nationals and individuals who are interested in the movie in Hong Kong were present at the film screening.
