Chargé d'Affaires a.i./ Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Washington, D.C. and officials along with ASEAN Ambassadors, Chargés d'Affaires a.i. and representatives of other ASEAN Embassies attended the ASEAN Day Celebration jointly organized by the ASEAN Embassies based in Washington, D.C. at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C on 8 August 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the event, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand and Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Washington (ACW), H.E. Tan Sri Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob, Ambassador of Malaysia as ASEAN Chair and Mr. Jonathan Fritz, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, U.S. Department of State delivered their remarks. Afterwards, ASEAN Anthem was played and ASEAN Ambassadors, Heads of Mission from ASEAN Embassies and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State took a documentary photo. ASEAN Embassies presented the guests with their respective cultural performances such as traditional music and dances, and entertained with refreshments and delicacies. Myanmar Embassy showcased Myanmar traditional silverware, entertained the guests with Myanmar food and delicacies and participated in the performances at the event.
