On 8 August 2025, H.E. Daw Marlar Than Htaik, Ambassador of Myanmar to Sri Lanka, attended the dinner, hosted by H.E. Mr. Badli Hisham Adam, High Commissioner of Malaysia and the current Chair of ASEAN, at the Shangri-La Hotel in celebration of the 58th ASEAN Day. The dinner was graced by the presence of Hon. Mr. Arun Hemachandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Employment of Sri Lanka, as the Guest of Honour and the Ambassadors as well as the representatives of ASESN Embassies in Colombo.
