Myanmar Delegation led by Myanmar Ambassador to China attends the 10th FEALAC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (22-8-2025)

The Myanmar Delegation led by U Tin Maung Swe, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China, attended the 10th Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on 22 August 2025. Foreign Ministers, Deputy Foreign Ministers, Ambassadors, Senior Officials from East Asia and Latin America countries, officials from FEALAC Cyber Secretariat, United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) attended the said Meeting. The meeting discussed and reviewed the progress made in implementing various sectors between the East Asia and Latin America regions over the past 25 years of the East Asia-Latin America Cooperation Forum (FEALAC), and also exchanged views on issues and priorities for further enhancing cooperation in economic, social, and people-to-people relations between the two regions. After the meeting, the “Ulaanbaatar Declaration” was released as a guideline for cooperation of the East Asia-Latin America Cooperation Forum (FEALAC) in the coming years. The 24th Senior Officials Meeting of the East Asia-Latin America Cooperation Forum (FEALAC) was held on 21 August 2025, in connection with the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. U Thet Win, Deputy Director-General of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a member of the Myanmar Delegation, also attended the said meeting. The Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) is an inter-regional multilateral forum established in 1999 with the aims to promote better understanding and trust, to promote cooperation in various areas such as economy, trade, investment, science and technology, environment protection, culture, sports, people-to-people exchanges, and to work together to safeguard common interests between the two regions. It is made up of 36 member countries, including Myanmar, from East Asia and Latin America.
