The Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Russian Federation participated as a speaker at the Asia-Pacific Business Dialogue Session during the II Annual Meeting of the Participants of the World Forum “New Era, New Ways,” organized by the International Organization for Eurasian Cooperation (IOEC) at the Digital Business Space Center in Moscow on 21 August 2025. The forum began with opening remarks by Mr. Vyacheslav Pshenichnikov, First Executive Vice President of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, who spoke on the potential and cooperative opportunities within the Russian economy. This was followed by speeches delivered by a Member of the Board of the Russian-Lao Friendship Society and former Minister of Industry and Trade of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic; the Trade Representative of the Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow; the Chairman of the Committee on Financial and Banking Activities of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; the Director of the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University; the Head of the Asia-Pacific Representative Office of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; the Co-Chairman of the Sino-British joint venture Scale and Chairman of the Russian-Asian Business Council; and the Ambassador of Myanmar. During the forum, the Myanmar Ambassador highlighted the Myanmar-Russia bilateral trade and investment, emphasizing the active participation of Myanmar in major economic platforms such as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Eastern Economic Forum. The Ambassador also addressed existing challenges in bilateral economic cooperation while underlining the potential and opportunities for enhancing future collaboration between the two countries across various sectors.
