The 322nd Meeting of ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) was held at the Embassy of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on 4th September 2024. The Meeting was chaired by H.E. Mrs. Phongsamouth ANLAVAN, Laos Ambassador to Japan who is the current Chair of ACT. H.E. U Soe Han, Myanmar Ambassador to Japan, attended the said meeting together with other ASEAN Heads of Missions.
During the meeting, ASEAN Ambassadors had a candid discussion on the Japan domestic development and regional development, and the activities that will be organized by the ACT in this year.
The meeting was followed by the dinner talk between ASEAN Ambassadors and former Cabinet Secretary for Public Affairs, Mr. Noriyuki Shikata. During the dinner talk, ASEAN Ambassadors and Mr. Noriyuki Shikata exchanged views on the policies of Prime Minister Kishida Government, his major policies priorities, overview of Japan’s Green Transformation (GX) and cooperation projects with ASEAN countries.
