The China-SCO Cooperation Centre for Metabolic Diseases

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China H.E. U Zaw Win Myint attended the opening ceremony of the China-SCO Cooperation Center on Metabolic Diseases held at Ruijin Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in Shanghai, entrusted by the National Health Commission of China on 27th February 2026.
At the opening ceremony, H.E. Zheng Zhe, Vice Minister of China's National Health Commission, Chen Yujian, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Mr. Liu Bin, Assistant Foreign Minister and H.E. Mr. Nurlan Yermekbayev, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), delivered opening remarks. The event was attended by approximately 100 participants, including experts from Shanghai Ruijin Hospital and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, as well as ambassadors and diplomats from SCO member states.
