H.E. U Kyaw Soe Moe, Ambassador to Bangladesh delivered a lecture on “Contemporary Myanmar: Its Foreign Policy, Security and Development Strategy, and Bangladesh-Myanmar Relations” to the participants of NDC-2026 course at the National Defence College(NDC), Dhaka on 13 July 2026 upon invitation of Lieutenant General MD Faizur Rahman, Commandant of NDC.
In his lecture, the Ambassador highlighted on political developments in Myanmar, the new elected government’s objectives to prioritizing peace and national reconciliation, the government’s steadfast dedication to achieving national stability and development through various strategic initiatives across multiple sectors, the evolution of Myanmar’s Foreign Policy and diplomatic engagements as well as Bangladesh–Myanmar Relations. He also underscored Myanmar’s development priorities and ongoing initiatives aimed at advancing socio-economic transformation and sustainable development.
The lecture was followed by an interactive Q&A session, during which the Ambassador addressed a wide range of questions from the participants.
The lecture was attended by Lieutenant General MD Faizur Rahman, Commandant of NDC, along with Brigadier General-level officers from Bangladesh Armed Forces, Joint Secretary-level(Director General/Deputy Director General) of Civil Service Officials, and Senior Officials from 17 foreign countries, totaling over 100 Course Members.
