To commemorate the 76th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Myanmar and China, the Myanmar-China Bilingual Singing Competition was held on 13 July 2026 at the auditorium of Yunnan Minzu University in Kunming. The event was jointly organized by the Consulate-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Kunming and Yunnan Minzu University.
At the opening ceremony of the singing competition, Consul-General of Myanmar in Kunming U Thwin Htet Lin and Vice President of Yunnan Minzu University Mr. Shao Weiqing delivered opening remarks, followed by an exchange of commemorative gifts.
During the competition, Chinese students majoring in Myanmar Language performed Myanmar songs, while Myanmar students studying Chinese Language performed Chinese songs. Following the performances, the Consul-General of Myanmar in Kunming presented prizes and commemorative gifts to the winning students.
