At the invitation of Ms. Bai Qun, Vice President of Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU), U Kyaw Zay Yar Lin, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Chongqing, visited CTBU at 9:30 a.m. on 17 September 2026 and held a meeting with Mr. Zeng Weilun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Zeng Weilun, Secretary of the Party Committee of CTBU, Ms. Bai Qun, Vice President of CTBU, and officials from the University’s School of Economics and Business. During the meeting, the participants had cordial and constructive discussions on enhancing cooperation between Chongqing and Myanmar in the fields of education and research; organizing additional short-term professional development and capacity-building programmes for Myanmar government officials; providing more scholarship opportunities for Myanmar students and government officials to pursue long-term undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degree programmes; and signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CTBU and a university in Myanmar to promote academic cooperation, including the exchange of faculty members and students for teaching, study and academic activities.
Following the meeting, the Consul General visited and toured the University Library and the School of Economics. He subsequently met with Myanmar government officials who are currently attending the Training Programme on Digital Economy and Trade for Myanmar Government Officials, which has been conducted at CTBU for one week since 15 September 2026, and provided assistance and support as necessary.
