The Chargé d’Affaires a.i./ Ambassador of the Embassy of Myanmar in Seoul, together with the Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, the Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, the Head of the Trade and Investment Unit (TIU) of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, and the Economic Counsellor of the Embassy of Myanmar, visited the Myanmar and Thailand exhibition booths at the ASEAN-Korea Centre in Seoul this afternoon, August 7, as part of the 2026 ASEAN Panorama programme.
The programme aims to promote ASEAN products in the Korean market and serves as a business platform connecting products from ASEAN Member States with Korean consumers, buyers and distributors. In particular, it seeks to support Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) from ASEAN countries in gaining access to and establishing business connections within the Korean market.
The 2026 ASEAN Panorama is being held from May 7 to September 30, 2026, featuring products from two ASEAN Member States each month on a rotating basis. For August, Myanmar and Thailand are being showcased from August 1 to 27, 2026.
The Myanmar pavilion, with the support of the ASEAN-Korea Centre and under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar and the Embassy of Myanmar in Seoul, features products from 10 participating Myanmar companies. The display includes traditional Myanmar arts and handicrafts, textiles, and Myanmar food products, along with promotional videos highlighting Myanmar as a travel destination.
During the exhibition period, Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings between the participating Myanmar companies and Korean business representatives will be held on August 26 and 27, 2026. The B2B programme is expected to provide opportunities for Myanmar companies to identify and establish connections with Korean buyers, distributors and potential business partners, while further promoting trade and economic cooperation between Myanmar and the Republic of Korea.
