The fifth General Assembly (GA) of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) was held in Kuwait from 4th to 5th February 2026. The annual regular meeting was attended by ministers and senior representatives representing the DCO Member States, guests countries, international organizations, experts and partners of the DCO. U Chan Aye, Ambassador of Myanmar to the State of Kuwait participated in the meeting and sideline events as a guest country of the DCO Council. The DCO is established in 2020 aiming to achieve the goals of inclusive growth of the digital economy and assisting the countries to address the challenges of the digital era. As of 2025, the DCO member states reached 16 countries. This year’s event theme is “Inclusive Prosperity in the Age of AI” highlighting the DCO commitment to promote inclusive digital transformation beyond member states. Discussions at the meeting covered DCO’s initiatives for digital investment and the empowerment of startups in the digital economy. At the end of the meeting, the current chairs of the DCO Council Kuwait handed over its task to Pakistan.
