(31-10-2026, Seoul)

On 30 October 2026, Ms. Win Pa Pa Thu, Economic Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Seoul, attended the opening ceremony of the Dialogues of the South exhibition, held at the ASEAN Culture House in Busan, on behalf of the Embassy.

The exhibition aims to explore the artistic and cultural connections between ASEAN and Latin America through contemporary artworks, while promoting mutual understanding and cooperation among countries of the Global South. The exhibition will be open to the public from 30 October 2026 to 28 February 2027.

Furthermore, the ASEAN Market 2026 fair is being held at the ASEAN Culture House from 31 October to 1 November 2026, with the participation of a Myanmar booth organized by the Embassy of Myanmar in Seoul. The event features product exhibition booths and traditional food stalls from ASEAN countries. Booths representing the embassies of Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia and Brunei, as well as the Philippine Consulate General, are participating, alongside a food stall offering Vietnamese cuisine. The Myanmar booth showcases and promotes Myanmar Paw San Hmwe rice, jade jewellery, traditional Myanmar handicrafts and ready-to-eat food products. In addition, the event features traditional ASEAN cuisine, handicrafts, cultural performances, interactive cultural activities and hands-on cooking classes.

Aiming to strengthen relations between the Republic of Korea and ASEAN countries through food and cultural exchange, ASEAN Market 2026 provides an opportunity for Myanmar to introduce its products, food items and traditional culture to Korean consumers and the Korean market, while gaining insights into consumer interest and potential market opportunities for Myanmar products. The participation also contributes to creating further opportunities to enhance trade and cultural relations between Myanmar and the Republic of Korea.

These activities are organized by the Korea Foundation (KF) and the ASEAN Culture House (ACH) in Busan, in cooperation with the embassies and consulates-general of the respective ASEAN Member States.
