The Embassy of the Republic of the Union Myanmar in New Delhi, the Current Chair of the ASEAN New Delhi Committee (ANDC) for the term from January to June 2026, hosted the 129th ASEAN New Delhi Committee (ANDC) Meeting and the ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) Executive Committee Meeting (1/2026) at the Le Meridien New Delhi Hotel on 10 July 2026 accordingly.
The 129th meeting of the ASEAN New Delhi Committee (ANDC) was chaired by the Chargé d’Affaires/ Minister-Counsellor Daw Thin Pyant Thida Kyaw on behalf of the current ANDC Chair, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to India. Ambassadors of the ASEAN Embassies in New Delhi and members of the ANDC Working Group were attended the Meeting. The activities and visits undertaken by the ANDC Committee during the first semester of the year 2026 were discussed at the Meeting and ASEAN Ambassadors exchanged views on the ANDC’s upcoming plans and ways to enhance ASEAN-India cooperation. Then, the ANDC Rotating Chairmanship for the (6) months term from July to December 2026 was handed over to H.E. Mr. Josel Francisco Ignacio, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, by Daw Thin Pyant Thida Kyaw, Chargé d’Affaires/ Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
The ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) Executive Committee Meeting (1/2026) was chaired by Daw Thin Pyant Thida Kyaw, Chargé d’Affaires/ Minister-Counsellor of the Myanmar Embassy. With the presence of Ambassadors from ASEAN Embassies and ALC members, the Meeting discussed and exchanged views on the unity, cooperation of ASEAN women and the future plans of ALC. The ALC Rotating Chairmanship for the (6) months term from July to December 2026 was handed over to Ms. Annalyn Vallena, representative of the Philippine Embassy by Daw Thin Pyant Thida Kyaw, Minister-Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires of the Myanmar Embassy at the end of the Meeting.
