Myanmar Consul General Ms. Phoo Pwint Ko Ko paid a courtesy call to the Hon. Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) at 11:30 hrs on 9 July 2026 at his office.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in economy, trade, investment, and finance, increasing participation of Myanmar delegation in seminars and events held in Hong Kong including Asian Financial Forum, and exploring ways to support Myanmar’s trade and development goals through its fintech expertise and financial infrastructure since Hong Kong holds the position of top offshore RMB hub.
