Myanmar Embassy hosts the special meeting of Asia-Africa-Arab 55 (30-06-2025)

Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo hosted a Special meeting of AAA-55 in cooperation with Asia-Africa-Arab 55 (AAA-55), a business platform aiming to connect the fast-growing Asian, African and Arab countries to Japanese business corporations, on 30th June 2025 at the Ayeyawaddy Hall of the Embassy.   

The meeting was attended by 80 representatives from diplomatic corps, including Ambassadors/Heads of missions and diplomats from the embassies of the Asia, Africa and Arab regions based in Tokyo and Japanese business corporations. 

During the special meeting, Mr. Hisafumi Koga, Board of Directors Chief of Asia-Africa-Arab 55 delivered his opening remarks. Then, H.E. U Soe Han, Myanmar ambassador to Japan explained the impacts of the recent major earthquake that struck the central part of Myanmar on 28 March 2025, the emergency relief and response activities carried out by the government of Myanmar in cooperation with the international community and the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts of the government in the quake-affected regions. Then, Mr. Yuichi ONO, Professor of the International Research Institute of Disaster Science, Tohoku University also delivered the keynote speech on Japan experiences on natural disasters and prescription to reduce disaster risks. 

Afterwards, the social gathering session was continued and the guests were treated with Myanmar delicacies including Myanmar coconut noodles, Myanmar desserts and etc. The special meeting was successfully concluded at 2030 hrs.
