Myanmar Consul General Ms. Phoo Pwint Ko Ko met with Mr. Wong Kim Hong, Acting Deputy Commissioner for the Public Security Police Force of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, at 11:00 hrs on 14 August 2026, at his office.
During the meeting, they discussed on matters concerning Myanmar nationals in Macao, particularly the need for fair adjudication of cases where Myanmar workers suffer harm due to employer misconduct, and to facilitate coordination with the relevant departments to ensure justice. They also exchanged views on consular matters, including the repatriation of Myanmar citizens who have been convicted of offenses in Macao, and emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the Macao Public Security Police Force and the Consulate General of Myanmar in handling such issues.
