U Thwin Htet Lin, Consul General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Kunming, attended the opening ceremony of the 2026 Baoshan Tour for Overseas Media Journalists, held at Yongchang Hall in Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, on 27 July 2026. On the occasion, the Consul General delivered opening remarks.
Organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Baoshan Municipal Committee and Baoshan International Communication Center, the media familiarization tour was held under the theme “The World in One Frame: A Wonderful Encounter with Baoshan.” The tour offered media representatives from neighboring countries an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into Baoshan City’s achievements in promoting openness and international cooperation, developing its specialty coffee industry safeguarding and promoting its intangible cultural heritage, and advancing rural revitalization. Media representatives from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh participated in the tour.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Zhang Gaxing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Baoshan Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of the Baoshan Municipal People’s Government; Mr. Zhao Jihui, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Baoshan Municipal People’s Government; media representatives from Myanmar, Laos, Viet Nam and Bangladesh; as well as other invited guests.
