Myanmar CDA pays farewell calls on dignitaries in Germany upon completion of his tour of duty (12-5-2026, Berlin)

The Chargé d’ Affaires/ Minister U Han Thein Kyaw, upon completion of his tour of duty in Germany, paid a farewell courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Nikola Eterovic, Archbishop, Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Germany and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Berlin.
Likewise, he paid farewell courtesy calls on ASEAN Ambassadors, including Ambassador of Indonesia, the incumbent Chair of the Berlin ASEAN Committee (BAC) and Ambassador of Singapore, who currently serves as the Chair/ Speaker of the Asia-Pacific Ambassadors’ Group in Berlin. The CDA also called on the Ambassadors of China and India to Germany separately.
Additionally, he conducted farewell visits with German officials, including parliamentarians at the Bundestag, while also meeting with representatives from various business organizations prior to his departure from Germany.
The ASEAN Embassies including Ambassadors of Cambodia, Malaysia and the Philippines hosted farewell lunches/ dinners separately in his honour.
During these calls and events, they cordially exchanged views on current development taking place in Myanmar, cooperation with the neighboring countries, ASEAN Member States, countries in the region and beyond, German domestic politics and on potential future cooperation between the two sides.
