Daw Khaing Su Linn, Consul General of the Myanmar Consulate General in Nanning, visited the Department of Commerce of Guangxi on May 11 and held discussions with Director General Mr. Zou Zhanye and his delegation.
During the meeting, the Consul General discussed matters concerning the holding of economic cooperation forum and business matchmaking activities to promote bilateral trade and investment. The discussion also covered cooperation regarding MSME development; agriculture and livestock; manufacturing; the exhibition and sale of agricultural products; the implementation of renewable energy (solar and waste-to-energy) projects; and the establishment of a China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Center.
In response, Director General Mr. Zou Zhanye welcomed the proposals and stated that they will collaborate with the Consulate General's Office to organize the forum. He expressed a keen interest in investing in Myanmar's industrial zones, construction, energy, and AI sectors. Additionally, he stated that capacity-building training programs will be arranged for Myanmar MSMEs and that bilateral investment procedures will continue to be coordinated.
