On 17-5-2026, at the Asok-Din Daeng Road and Railway Junction, one of the busiest intersections in central Bangkok, a Myanmar citizen Ma Aye Aye Myint, Age 36, died suddenly in a collision between a freight train and a bus. Myanmar Ambassador to Bangkok H.E. U Zaw Zaw Soe met with Daw Ohn Tin, sister of the deceased Ma Aye Aye Myint, at the the Myanmar Embassy on 21-5-2026 at 2:30 PM, together with Myanmar Embassy officials, and offered condolences and financial assistance to the families of the Ambassador and Embassy staff.
The Myanmar Embassy will cooperate with relevant departments in Thailand to provide compensation to those who died in the accident, and if necessary, they can contact the Myanmar Embassy at any time to request assistance.
