U Zaw Win Myint, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China, visited Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, People’s Republic of China, from 23 to 25 October 2026 to participate in the “BRI Ambassadors Visit Zhejiang” programme. On the morning of 23 October 2026, the Ambassador attended the “Lishui, China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Colombia Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium”, jointly organized by representatives of Lishui University and the Lishui Foreign Affairs Office. During the symposium, he held discussions to encourage and invite investment in Myanmar. On the morning of 24 October 2026, he attended the “2026 FIAP World Photographers Conference” and delivered the opening remarks.
The programme was organized with the aim of establishing effective business linkages between enterprises from Myanmar and those from Lishui City and Zhejiang Province in areas such as trade, investment and technology. It also included visits to major enterprises and prominent industrial sectors in Wenzhou and Lishui, including advanced manufacturing industries utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), ecological agriculture and cultural tourism. In addition, cultural visits, experience-sharing activities and other programmes were arranged to further strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides.
Approximately 440 participants attended the opening ceremonies, including representatives of government bodies of Zhejiang Province, diplomatic representatives, local businesspeople from Lishui, officials from Lishui University, international students, representatives of the China-Arab Association, and prominent figures from the photography sector.
