Myanmar Ambassador to Brazil pays a two-day working visit to Goiânia (28-7-2025)

At the invitation of JBS SA company, a Brazilian multinational recognized as a global leader in the food industry, which exports its products to 190 countries, including the ASEAN countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and VietNam, Ambassador of Myanmar to Brazil H.E. U Aung Kyaw Zan paid a two-day working visit to Goiânia, the capital city of Goiás, and Samambaia, an administrative region of Brasília-DF, together with other ASEAN heads of missions in Brasilia and ASEAN-Brasilia Committee working group members from 24 to 25 July 2025. On 24-7-2025, at 11:00 hrs., ASEAN-Brasilia Committee delegation visited the JBS branch office in Goiânia. JBS officials provided an overview of the company’s background, explained matters related to the export of their products to other countries and partnerships, and gave a tour of the Friboi beef unit, which is part of the JBS Group, specializes in premium meat products. At 19:30 hrs., Mr. Sandro da Mabel Antonio Scodro, Mayor of Goiânia received the delegation at Goiânia City Hall. Officials from the Cabinet of the Mayor of Goiânia also present at the meeting and both sides exchanged views on matters pertaining to potential cooperation between Goiânia and ASEAN countries. 

On 25 July 2025, at 11:00 hrs., the delegation visited a Seara poultry unit, a brand under JBS Group in Samambaia (Brasília-DF) and discussed the matters in relation to future partnership opportunities between JBS company and ASEAN countries. At 14:00 hrs., the delegation was hosted for lunch by JBS company officials at the Swift Meat Point Restaurant, which is part of the JBS Group.
