At the invitation of Honourable Mr. Khadak Raj Poudel, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation of Nepal and Chairman of the Lumbini Development Trust, Myanmar Ambassador to Nepal H.E. U Thant Sin attended “The Ceremony commemorating the 2570th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day 2026″ at the Maya Devi Temple in the Lumbini Sacred Garden on 1 May 2026 at 8:00 AM.
The auspicious occasion was attended by over 500 guests, including venerable monks and nuns, representatives from the Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) and religious organizations, Ambassadors and Diplomats from the Embassies of Myanmar, China, India, Japan and Sri Lanka, UN Resident Coordinator and Representatives from SAARC Secretariat, invited guests and devotees.
