The Ceremony commemorating the first anniversary of the Mandalay Earthquake was held on 28 March 2026 at 12:45 hours at Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1). At the event, ministries including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented their responses and recovery achievements following the disaster through the exhibition.
At the exhibition booth, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs showcased the damage caused by the earthquake to its office buildings and staff housing, as well as the status of completed reconstruction efforts. It also highlighted the Ministry’s role in coordinating with relevant ministries to ensure the timely arrival of international rescue teams and humanitarian assistance following the earthquake, along with its engagement and cooperation with international organizations. Responsible officials provided detailed explanations of these efforts.
