U Thwin Htet Lin, Consul-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Kunming, attended the opening ceremony of the Seventh Session of the 15th Kunming Municipal People’s Congress, held at the Kunming Municipal People’s Hall on 2 February 2026.
At the ceremony, Mr. Yang Chengxin, Mayor of the Kunming Municipal People’s Government, delivered the Government Work Report on behalf of the Kunming Municipal People’s Government, reviewing the work accomplishments in 2025 and outlining the work plans and key tasks for 2026.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Central Government of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, members of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, leaders of the Party Committee, deputies to the Kunming Municipal People’s Congress, Consuls-General and diplomats from consulates based in Kunming, foreign experts, and representatives of overseas Chinese communities.
The Seventh Session of the 15th Kunming Municipal People’s Congress is scheduled to be held at the Kunming Municipal People’s Hall from 2 to 4 February 2026.
