Daw Win Lei Phyu, Consul General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Los Angeles, attended the opening ceremony and panel discussion of the 2026 International Asian American Business Expo (IAABE) on 7 August 2026. The Expo, organized by the Coalition of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce, is being held from 7 to 8 August 2026 at the Marriott Redondo Beach in Torrance, California.
During the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Gerry Palon, President and CEO of the Coalition of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce, delivered the opening remarks. The Consul General of Myanmar participated as a panelist together with the Consuls General of the Philippines, India and Sri Lanka, where they exchanged views on issues relating to the potential for economic, investment, and trade cooperation. The Expo featured more than 30 exhibition booths representing companies from across Asia and the United States and attracted over 300 visitors and participants.
