In commemoration of the 58th Anniversary of the Establishment of ASEAN which falls on 8th August 2025, the ASEAN Embassies in Canberra including Myanmar Embassy, jointly hosted the ASEAN Day Reception on 23 July 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra. The Chargé d'affaires Daw Myat Thuzar Than and officials from Myanmar Embassy, together with ASEAN Ambassadors and Heads of Mission in Canberra participated in the event. The Chief of Protocol of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Jonathan Muir, graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honor. The event was also attended by officials from Australian Government Departments including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as well as from the ASEAN-Australia Centre (AAC), representatives from the missions of Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) signatory members and foreign missions, diplomats from ASEAN Embassies and invited guests. During the event, members of the ASEAN Women Circle Canberra (AWCC) presented a special performance of the ASEAN Anthem.
