H.E. U Thant Sin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Nepal attended the Sanghnayaka Felicitation Ceremony of the conferment of the 8th Chairman of Sanghanayaka of Nepal as a special guest on 13 January 2026 at 0100 pm at Kathmandu City Hall.
The Ceremony was presided over by the Minister for Education, Science and Technology of Nepal, Honorable Mr. Mahabir Pun as the chief guest.
Ambassador U Thant Sin, in his speech, congratulated the Most Venerable Maha-saddhamma-jotikadhaja Bhikkhu Bodhisen Mahasthavir on the conferment, and offered his respectful best wishes for the Venerable Chairman, to fulfill the responsibilities and contribute to the continued advancement of the Buddhist Sasana.
The Ceremony was attended by approximately 500 participants, including members of the Sangha, government officials, diplomatic corps, and Buddhist devotees.
