The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Bangkok held discussions with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Heads of foreign embassies based in Bangkok to strengthen cooperation on the early repatriation of foreign nationals who had illegally entered Myawaddy, Myanmar, for various reasons, as well as on promoting law and order along the border areas

H.E. U Zaw Zaw Soe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Kingdom of Thailand, held discussions with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, as well as with Ambassadors and officials from the Embassies of the Philippines, Viet Nam and China in Bangkok, on 12 and 13 January 2026 respectively. During the meetings, they exchanged views on the matters relating to the early repatriation of foreign nationals who had illegally entered Myawaddy, Myanmar, for various reasons, as well as strengthening cooperation to combat online fraud by enhancing law enforcement efforts along the border areas.
