U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for International Cooperation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, met with the Russian State Duma delegation led by Mr. Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, at 15:15 hrs. on 29 May 2023, at the Union Minister’s Office of the Ministry of International Cooperation in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on the further consolidation of the existing ties of friendship between Myanmar and Russia, expansion of bilateral cooperation including trade, economic, social and tourism sectors, and enhancement of cooperation through regional and international organisations.
