H.E. U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar handed over cash donations to the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association in a ceremony held on 12 November 2025 at 1300 hrs at the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) in Yangon.
During the ceremony, the Union Minister delivered a remark regarding the donation of cash contributions for the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association and handed over a total amount of 53 million Kyats to the Chairman of the Association. The contributions included the Ministry’s donation as well as the collective donations made by the Myanmar Embassies, Consulates-General, Permanent Missions abroad, and current staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Afterwards, the Chairman of the Myanmar Foreign Service Personnel Association expressed words of gratitude to the Union Minister.
Also present at the ceremony were U Thant Kyaw, Chairman of MISIS, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, retired officials of the Ministry as well as the Chairman and members of the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association.
The Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association was established in May 2020 with the objectives of strengthening the warm and friendly relationships among the former foreign service personnel, and of supporting and assisting former foreign service personnel and their families in health and social matters with a family spirit. The Association is now in the process of registration as a social organization.
