U Chan Aye, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr. Dicky Komar, Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i., of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Yangon at 1000 hrs on 22 June 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on the further advancement of the existing friendly relations and bilateral cooperation, and also discussed matters pertaining to the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Myanmar for the victims of Cyclone MOCHA, repatriation of Indonesian nationals who are encountering difficulties in border areas of Myanmar, as well as mutual collaboration in both regional and multilateral arenas, particularly within the framework of ASEAN.
During the discussions, the Permanent Secretary also apprised the Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i. on recent developments in Myanmar and the challenges in the implementation of the ASEAN five-point consensus due to the destructive acts and violence committed by terrorists.
