Permanent Mission of Myanmar to ASEAN participated in ASEAN-India Bazaar 2026(23-5-2026, Jakarta)

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to ASEAN participated in the ASEAN-India Bazaar 2026, which was held on 23 May 2026 at The Westin Hotel, Jakarta. The Myanmar Mission showcased a rich array of Myanmar products at the event. H.E. Aung Myo Myint, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to ASEAN, attended the inauguration session of the event alongside fellow Permanent Representatives and Ambassadors to ASEAN.
The ASEAN-India Bazaar 2026 officially opened at 10:30 AM. Opening remarks were delivered respectively by H.E. Srinivas Gotru, Ambassador of India to ASEAN; Ms. Poonam Sagar, Founder of Indoindians; H.E. Sandeep Chakravorty, Ambassador of India to Indonesia; H.E. Evangeline Jimenez-Ducrocq, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN; H.E. Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi, Director General of the ASEAN Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia; and H.E. Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Economic Community.
The ASEAN-India Bazaar 2026 was aimed at promoting cultural exchange, strengthen trade and business linkages, and foster greater community engagement between ASEAN Member States and India. The event showcased and sold a diverse range of products, authentic cuisine, services, and cultural handicrafts from both ASEAN and India.
Jointly organized by the Indian Mission to ASEAN and the Indoindians organization annually, the bazaar attracted over 1,000 visitors, including local and international traders, businessmen, small and medium enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs, and invited guests.
