Myanmar Embassy in Berlin participated in the activities of Berlin-ASEAN Committee (BAC) which were organized by the Chair of BAC, Ambassador of Lao PDR to Germany.
On 16 July 2025, BAC hosted a Lunch to bid farewell to Ambassador of Viet Nam on the occasion of the completion of his tour of duty in the Federal Republic of Germany. The event was attended by Ambassadors/ Charges d’ Affaires of all ASEAN Embassies in Berlin. The Heads of Mission of ASEAN Embassies congratulated the Ambassador of Viet Nam for successful completion of his term and conveyed their best wishes for his future endeavors.
Earlier on 20 May 2025, in its capacity as Chair of BAC, Ambassador of Lao PDR also convened BAC Meeting. At the meeting, the Heads of Mission of ASEAN Embassies discussed and exchanged views on regular holding of BAC meetings, jointly organizing ASEAN Day and ASEAN Sports Day as well as hosting of Working Lunch/ Dinner by inviting ASEAN Dialogue Partners.
Likewise, the current Chair of BAC organized a Working Lunch between BAC and New Zealand, an ASEAN Dialogue Partner on 27 May 2025 at Maritim proArte Hotel which was well-attended by Ambassadors/ Charges d’ Affaires of all ASEAN Embassies in Berlin.
At a Farewell Lunch on 16 July 2025, the Heads of Mission of ASEAN Embassies expressed their appreciation to Ambassador of Lao PDR, the incumbent Chair of BAC and his team for organizing various BAC activities to further enhance ASEAN solidarity and to promote mutual understanding among the ASEAN Embassies based in Berlin.
