On 12 May 2026, Counsellor Daw Naw Ohnmar Khine, and Attaché Daw Hsu Yadanar Oo of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Seoul participated in the Korea-ASEAN Cultural Cooperation Roundtable. The event, organized by the Korean Foundation, was held at the Jeongdong 1928 Art Centre in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The roundtable was convened with 2 sessions: “Digital Transformation and AI in Cultural Exchange: Current Landscape and Future Direction” and “Strengthening Korea-ASEAN Cultural Exchange Partnerships.” The first session was presented by Korean experts, while the second session brought together national museum experts from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The discussion also included representatives from the ASEAN embassies in Seoul and representatives from Korea. The roundtable reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural collaboration and promote sustainable partnerships between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea. Participants exchanged views on the opportunities for further cooperation to enhance cultural ties between Korea and ASEAN member countries.
