The Myanmar Embassy in Cairo opened a polling station from 29 November to 1 December 2025 to enable Myanmar citizens abroad to cast advance votes in the 2025 Multi-Party Democratic General Election. During this period, Myanmar citizens and students who are eligible to vote and currently residing and working in Egypt came to cast their ballots.
In addition, to ensure that Myanmar citizens living and working outside Cairo did not lose their voting opportunity, the Embassy extended the opening of the polling station on the public holidays of 5 and 6 December 2025, during which voters continued to come and cast their ballots.
