Myanmar Chargé d’Affaires visits to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone in Johor, Malaysia(15-5-2026,Malaysia)

At the invitation of the High Commissioner of Malaysia, Dr. Zaw Minn Aung, Chargé d'Affaires / Minister of Myanmar Embassy in Singapore, together with ambassadors and diplomats from other foreign embassies based in Singapore, joined a familiarization visit to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) in Malaysia on 12 May 2025.
The visit was organized to showcase potential investment opportunities and attract business ventures to the SEZ. During the visit, respected persons from the Invest Malaysia Facilitation Centre Johor delivered the briefings on economic cooperation between Singapore and Malaysia, the delegation explored investment prospects through the site visits to Iskandar Malaysia Studio (IMS) and Sultan Abu Bakar Heritage Complex, engaging in region’s cultural heritage.
The JS-SEZ is a strategic initiative designed to bolster the economic ties between Singapore and Malaysia by prioritizing bilateral cooperation and to transform the region into exclusive economic hub within the regional landscape by encouraging deeper synergy between the two countries.
