Dr. Zaw Minn Aung, Chargé d’ Affaires/ Minister of the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore, attended a working lunch hosted by Mr. Stanley Loh, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore, at 11:30 hours on 11 May 2026.
During the lunch, Permanent Secretary Mr. Stanley Loh discussed the vital role of migrant workers in Singapore’s development and the continued recruitment of young workers to meet labor demands, while highlighting the government’s efforts to expand dormitory housing, coordinate affordable healthcare with employers, and expressing gratitude to ASEAN Embassies for their consular assistance to their respective workers.
Dr. Zaw Minn Aung, Chargé d’ Affaires/Minister expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Manpower for providing the necessary support to Myanmar workers employed in Singapore. He further noted that the Embassy is providing timely consular assistance to Myanmar nationals, including workers, and affirmed that the Myanmar Embassy will continue to enhance cooperation with the Ministry of Manpower.
