Chargé d’Affaires/Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the United States, along with ASEAN Ambassadors, Heads of Mission and representatives from other ASEAN Embassies attended ASEAN Committee in Washington(ACW) Chairmanship Handover Ceremony from the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia and meeting with Mr. Gregory B. Poling, Director and Senior Fellow of Center for Strategic and International Studies(CSIS) hosted by H.E. Mr. Adnan bin Haji Mohd Ja’afar, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the United States at the Brunei Embassy on 29 April 2026.
During the meeting, members of the ASEAN Committee in Washington and Mr. Gregory B. Poling exchanged views on current U.S. policy engagements in the Indo-Pacific region, key priority areas, developments in the Middle East, and prospects for enhancing cooperation between ASEAN countries and the United States. The Myanmar Chargé d'Affaires/Ambassador also briefed on the measures undertaken by the Government of Myanmar to combat and dismantle online scam operations.
