His Excellency U Kyaw Tin Shein, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, attended the 279th ASEAN Committee in Cairo (ACC) Heads of Missions Meeting held on June 30, 2025 at the Philippines Embassy in Cairo.
The meeting was chaired by the Current Chair of ACC, Ambassador of Malaysia and attended by the Ambassadors, Deputy Chief of Missions and the members of the ACC Working Group from 9 ASEAN Embassies based in Cairo. During the meeting, the participants reviewed the completed activities of the ACC and discussed future programs and activities to enhance ASEAN's role and awareness in Egypt.
Following the meeting, H.E. U Kyaw Tin Shein officially took over the alternate chairmanship of the ACC from the Malaysian Ambassador. The Myanmar Embassy in Cairo will take on the role of rotating Chair of ACC from July to December 2025.
After the meeting, Ambassador of Philippines hosted a luncheon in honour of the attending ASEAN Ambassadors in Cairo.
