H.E. Mr. Zaw Oo, Ambassador of Myanmar to India, attended the 128th ASEAN-New Delhi Committee (ANDC) Meeting at the High Commission of Malaysia in New Delhi on 12th January 2026 at 11:00 hrs.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India. Attending ASEAN Ambassadors and High Commissioners exchanged views on strengthening economic relations and enhancing cooperation between ASEAN countries and India, while also presenting updates on recent bilateral engagements. During these discussions, the Ambassador of Myanmar highlighted significant bilateral visits and reviewed the progress of cooperation between Myanmar and India.
H.E. Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa reviewed the activities of the ASEAN-New Delhi Committee during his tenure as Chair for the second half of 2025 and then formally handed over the Chairmanship to H.E. Mr Zaw Oo, Myanmar Ambassador to India, who will assume the rotational Chairmanship for the first half of 2026.
In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Zaw Oo outlined the Myanmar Embassy’s priorities for its forthcoming Chairmanship, focusing on deepening fellowship among ASEAN missions in New Delhi and advancing the momentum of ASEAN-India relations. Following the meeting, the Ambassador and his wife attended the ASEAN Family Luncheon hosted by the High Commissioner of Malaysia.
