His Excellency U Tin Maung Swe, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China, delivered a keynote speech at the Opening Ceremony of the Seminar on Protected Eco-Origin Product (PEOP) Certification Promoting Sustainable Development of Economy and Ecology in the ASEAN-China Region, held at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on 19 September 2025.
In his remarks, the Ambassador noted that this was his second time attending and addressing the Seminar. He highlighted that the discussions held during last year’s event with state leaders, ministers, and experts had yielded positive outcomes.
Ambassador U Tin Maung Swe emphasized the importance of protecting and promoting Eco-Origin Products, stressing that Myanmar is making continuous efforts to strengthen ecosystem protection, renewable energy development, biodiversity conservation, and waste management with a long-term perspective. He further underlined Myanmar’s commitment to producing safe food products that meet international standards, while also enhancing China-Myanmar economic and trade relations.
He also reaffirmed that Myanmar offers significant opportunities for development and extended an invitation for greater cooperation in technology sharing and investment. In addition, the Ambassador conveyed his appreciation and congratulations to the China Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Association (CIQA) for its continued efforts in organizing the seminar annually.
The event was attended by Mr. Qu Fenghong, Deputy Secretary-General of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC and Chief Expert of CIQA; Mr. Wang Xin, Chairman of CIQA; as well as experts, Chinese entrepreneurs, government representatives, and other stakeholders, totaling around 200 participants.
