The Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Nepal, H.E. U Myo Myint Maung, who is soon completing his diplomatic tenure in Nepal, paid a farewell courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, H.E. Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, on 3 September 2025 at 1430 hrs at the Minister’s Office in Kathmandu. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on further enhancing the friendly and cooperative relations between Myanmar and Nepal, as well as on strengthening regional collaboration and mutual engagement in areas of common interest. As part of the farewell engagements, H.E. U Myo Myint Maung has been meeting with heads of diplomatic missions and senior officials in Kathmandu. On 1 September 2025, the Ambassador called on the Ambassador of India and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Sri Lanka. On 2 September 2025, the Ambassador held separate farewell meetings with the Ambassadors of the Russian Federation and Thailand at their respective embassies. The Ambassador also paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chairman of the Lumbini Development Trust (LDT).
