On 22 April 2025, H.E. U Aung Soe Win, Myanmar's Ambassador to Malaysia, received a courtesy call from H.E. Dr. Betty Oyella Bigombe, High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to Malaysia, at the Myanmar Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. During the meeting, both sides engaged in a productive exchange of views on several key matters, including the facilitation of Ugandan nationals currently in Myanmar who wish to return to Uganda. They also discussed ways to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Myanmar and Uganda, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in political and economic areas.
