H.E. U Min Thein, Ambassador of Myanmar to the State of Kuwait, attended the ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK)’s chairmanship handover ceremony convened at the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Kuwait on 28 October 2026 at 11:00 hrs. The Event was also participated by the Ambassadors and Heads of Mission from ASEAN embassies in Kuwait.
During the handover ceremony, the outgoing ACK Chairman H.E. Mr. Sulaini Said, Ambassador of Brunei to Kuwait, delivered a comprehensive summary of the activities carried out during his tenure from April to October 2026 and expressed his appreciation to ACK members for their continued support. The Ambassador of Brunei then formally handed over the Chairmanship to H.E. Mr. Chhay Makara, Ambassador of Cambodia to Kuwait. The new Chairman outlined his vision for upcoming ACK initiatives aimed at further strengthening ASEAN’s engagement in Kuwait from November 2026 to April 2027.
Thereafter, the Heads of Mission exchanged views on the future programmes and activities of the Committee.
After the ceremony, the Ambassador of Brunei hosted a luncheon for the attendees.
