H.E. U Kyaw Tun, Chargé d'Affaires / Ambassador of Myanmar to Japan, attended the 47th OISCA International Tokyo Forum on 26 February 2026, at the International Conference Hall of the Office Building of the House of Representatives in Tokyo.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Nakano Etsuko, President of OISCA International, followed by speeches from Mr. Shigeru Ishiba, former Prime Minister of Japan, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Association of Japanese Diet Members Supporting OISCA, and Ms. Toshimi Nishizaki, Deputy Assistant Minister and Deputy Director-General of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The Secretary-General of OISCA International, Mr. Kitsuki Fumio, then delivered a presentation on the organization's ongoing activities.
During the forum, H.E. U Kyaw Tun highlighted the progress of OISCA’s projects in Myanmar and expressed his gratitude to OISCA for its continued support of Myanmar’s agricultural, livestock, and environmental conservation initiatives. He also emphasized the organization’s contributions to the socio-economic development of Myanmar through capacity-building training programs at its centers in Mandalay and Magway Regions. Furthermore, he encouraged OISCA to continue and further enhance its support for Myanmar’s development initiatives.
The forum brought together 30 participants, including representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and OISCA International, ambassadors and representatives from embassies in countries where OISCA operates, and representatives from companies supporting OISCA's initiatives.
